Privacy policy
This policy describes which personal data is processed when you visit the website lifecorner.de. In short: this website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, uses no analytics tools, embeds no content from other providers and does not count page views.
This English version is a translation; the German version is the binding one.
1. Controller
Eric Fritzsche
Lindenstraße 78
71272 Renningen
Germany
E-mail: kontakt@lifecorner.de
I run this website as a private person. I have not appointed a data protection officer because there is no obligation to do so.
2. Visiting the website
When you open a page, your browser sends technically necessary data to the server that delivers it:
- your IP address,
- the address you open, including any parameters,
- the date and time of the request,
- information your browser includes in the request, such as the browser type, its language setting and the page you came from,
- technical data of the encrypted connection.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is to deliver the website reliably and securely.
Retention: the data is processed only while the request lasts. To limit requests, the IP address is counted for a few minutes. I keep no access logs and do not analyse visits.
Hosting: the website is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg. AWS processes the data as a processor under the AWS GDPR Data Processing Addendum, which is part of the AWS Service Terms. The website's files are stored in Frankfurt am Main. The website is delivered through the Amazon CloudFront network. AWS lists its sub-processors at https://aws.amazon.com/compliance/sub-processors/.
3. Transfers outside the EU
CloudFront delivers the website from locations in many countries. Usually a location near you serves the page, in Europe a European one. This is not guaranteed, so your request may also pass through a location outside the EU, for example in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Israel or Türkiye. In addition, delivery is configured through the AWS region in the USA (us-east-1).
These safeguards apply:
- USA: Amazon.com, Inc., including AWS, is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so an adequacy decision of the European Commission applies (Art. 45 GDPR). The European Commission's standard contractual clauses apply in addition.
- Canada and Israel: an adequacy decision of the European Commission applies to both (Art. 45 GDPR).
- Other countries, such as Mexico or Türkiye: the European Commission's standard contractual clauses apply (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR); they are part of the AWS Data Processing Addendum.
4. No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and stores no data in your browser, local storage included. It uses no analytics or tracking tools and embeds no content from other providers. It serves its own fonts and images. That is why there is no cookie banner.
5. Contact by e-mail
When you send me an e-mail, I process your e-mail address, your name if you give it, the content of your message and the time.
Purpose: to answer your request.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is to answer requests. Where it concerns a contract with you, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Recipient: the message is stored in the mailbox of my e-mail provider STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, which processes it as a processor.
Retention: I delete your message once your request is settled, at the latest six months afterwards, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.
6. Contact form
When you write to me through the contact form, I process your e-mail address, your name if you give it, your message, the language of the page and the time. The website sends this as an e-mail to my mailbox and keeps none of it once the e-mail is delivered. The website sends nothing to the address you enter. I answer you myself by e-mail.
Besides what you enter, the form processes only your IP address (for the limit described below) and technical details of the request, such as that it comes from this website. It receives no information about your browser or location and no cookies. None of it is logged.
Purpose: to answer your request.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is to answer requests. Where it concerns a contract with you, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. I do not need your consent for this.
Protection against misuse: so that nobody floods the form with messages, I limit how often messages can be sent from one IP address. For this I keep, for at most ten minutes, a value calculated from your IP address with a secret key, never together with your message. Without that key it can't be traced back to your IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is to run the form securely. Logs only record whether a message was sent or refused and, on a failure, the error type, never its content, your address or your name.
Recipients: the form runs at AWS like the whole website (sections 2 and 3). The e-mail is sent by AWS's Amazon Simple Email Service in Frankfurt am Main, as a processor under the same agreement. It then sits in my mailbox at STRATO (section 5).
Retention: the website does not keep your message beyond its delivery. If the email can't be delivered, AWS sends me an error report that may contain your message, name and address. I delete it once the problem is fixed. In my mailbox I delete it once your request is settled, at the latest six months afterwards, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.
What you need to give: I need your e-mail address and your message to answer you. Your name is optional.
7. Link to LinkedIn
This website links to my LinkedIn profile. It is a plain link, not embedded content. Until you click it, LinkedIn receives no data from this website. When you click, the website does not tell LinkedIn which page you came from. On LinkedIn, LinkedIn's privacy policy applies: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
8. Your rights
You have the right to
- access the data I process about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability where the processing is based on a contract (Art. 20 GDPR).
9. Right to object
You can object at any time. Where I process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). I will then stop processing the data unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. No particular form is needed; the easiest way is an e-mail to kontakt@lifecorner.de.
10. Right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority competent for me is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg
Heilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany
P.O. box 10 29 32, 70025 Stuttgart
Phone: +49 711 615541-0
E-mail: poststelle@lfdi.bwl.de
Complaint form: https://www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de/beschwerde/
11. No obligation to provide data
You have no legal or contractual obligation to give me any data. Without your IP address, however, your browser cannot load the website. Whether you write to me is up to you.
12. No automated decisions
I make no automated decisions and create no profiles (Art. 22 GDPR).
13. Changes
If the website changes, I update this policy. The version published here applies.
